when I was gathering material for Mikoláš Fracture I bumped on a school work by Hana Konečná. The paper was focused on evolution of Mikoláš Aleš's handwriting during his life and it even included digital reconstruction of most small letters. It seemed to me it that it would had been a shame to keep it only as a sample because it could be easily converted to a font. Of course, I was wrong. =} Small letters were incomplete because some of them are used in folk songs very seldom (e.g. f) and some others are not used at all (q, x), so finding a usable sample in Mikoláš Aleš's drawings was quite difficult. Not to mention capitol letters that are really hard to find... In the end I decided to unify the original careless style to something more formal and started recreating all letters from scratch using primitive geometric shapes. Because all of this the font is still unfinished, but hopefully the final result will be allegant even in bigger sizes.
